Hot Smoke Test
Hot smoke tests access the detectors as well as the smoke control system's reaction to the hot smoke. This is for further visual confirmation of the effectiveness of the smoke control design and the equipment functionality.
The Hot smoke test is intended to verify the correct performance of the smoke management system including operation and sequence of control. It is not meant as a means of establishing smoke obscuration levels or system integrity under real fire situations as its main objective is to give a visual example of where the smoke plume goes.
CFD Modelling
Computational Flow Dynamics Modelling is used to achieve optimisation of the engineered smoke control system. This is through the analyzation of the smoke via the computer modelling of smoke movement.
